Can Omega 5E ease inflammatory pain?

Cetylated fatty acid (or cetyl myristoleate) is a natural substance which helps those who are suffering from arthritis and auto-immune disorders associated with deficiency in Essential Fatty Acids. Cetyl Myristoleate is an ester of fatty acid and Omega 5E is an ester of Omega 5.

Fatty acids are the individual components of oils in the same way that amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Polyunsaturated fatty acids, such as linotenic acid and linolelic acid, are crucial to life and are called essential fatty acids (EFAs). Research shows that cetyl myristoleate appears to have the same beneficial characteristics as the EFAs, however, it is stronger and the benefits are longer lasting.

EFAs are essential to normal cell structure, physiological processes, body function, and function as components to nerve cells and cell membranes. EFAs are depleted in chronic inflammatory diseases and their deficiency are associated with many autoimmune diseases. EFAs when used over an extended period of time have been shown to decrease pain, inflammation, and motion limitations of arthritis. Cetyl myristoleate offers the same benefits of decreasing pain and inflammation, but quicker.

See this 2004 study about the effect of Omega 5 oil:

The conclusions of the study are that the Omega 5 fatty acid can help reduce:

Moderate inflammatory pain levels in a variety of joint and muscle diseases.

The analysis of the data also suggests that Omega 5 can reduce disability related to migraine headaches and psoriasis.

Please consult with your physician.

Be well.
